Welcome to the Westminster Park Low Carbon Group website

where we are working to reduce Westminster Park’s carbon footprint and help create a healthy, sustainable, low carbon community.

These pages have been developed to raise awareness of our group within the Westminster Park community and provide information and links on what individuals can do to reduce their carbon footprint and get involved in the local community.

Since our inauguration in September 2006 we have undertaken a survey questionnaire of residents in Westminster Park and produced a report on the findings which shows what energy efficiency measures households in the community have, and how the community uses energy, recycles and travels about. We have also hosted two exhibitions on Energy Efficiency and Waste, and Green Transport.

Click here to find out more about our group and click here if you want to contact us. Go to Get Involved to find out how you can join in with WPLCG and to Top Tips for ideas on how to reduce your carbon footprint. The Useful Links page provides details of other websites with useful and relevant information.

The website is still under development at present and we will be adding new sections over the coming months, so keep on visiting to see what's new.

NEW: We now have an Efergy real time wireless energy monitor which can be loaned out for you to use around the home. You will be able to see how much electricity different appliances use and therefore how you can change your behaviour to cut your energy usage. Contact us to arrange a loan.
