Westminster Park Shops

Postby S19MSY » Wed Jun 04, 2008 7:58 pm

As part of some work on local produce/local shops/low carbon for Brian Wescott, I've been using the Westminster Parks shops more frequently than usual and have been getting to know the shop-keepers. Now I try and eat at least one meal a week from Al Dente - more if possible! :P

Indeed! Some people may say that it's cheaper to shop at supermarkets, but once you take into account the cost of petrol, especially of late, the difference is much lessened.

Maybe we should set up an area were the shops could promote themsleves.

Pity the quality of the fruit and veg isn't higher at Thomas's. I'd buy more there if I didn't end up having to throw some away. The rotting fruit then adding methane to the atmosphere, a more potent greenhouse gas than CO2 !

Unfortunately I'd have to agree. Still it's better having a 2nd rate greengrocers than another hairdressers :-)
