Ness Nature Detectives

A family fun day finding out about nature

On 1st August Ness Gardens are hosting a full day of nature activities for the whole family in association with the Merseyside branch of the British Science Association.

Urgent call for all budding nature detectives. There’s an important creature lost in Ness Gardens and we need your help to track it down. Come along and have some fun, meet our experts and look in the wonderful grounds of Ness Gardens to find clues to what our creature is. Along the way, look out for Sir Digby Attenborough, our resident nature detective, who will help you solve clues to find the mystery animal. Test your powers of deduction, find out about footprints, what he might eat from the grounds and many more exciting things along the way. Learn about bees, birds, berries and all the wonderful nature at Ness.

As well as our nature trail for children, there will be lots of hands-on activities with a scientific theme, honey tasting, face painting, bird feeder making and pond dipping. Some furry and feathered friends will be dropping by too. For the grown ups there will be talks, nature walks, bee identification training and experts on hand to answer any questions.
