Badgers being poisened

This information has been received from The National Wildlife Crime unit which is in receipt of information regarding "Doughnutting"

Doughnutting is a particular method of poisoning Badgers.
Doughnuts are stuffed with slug pellets and left close to badger setts.
As Badgers have a sweet tooth they will eat the doughnuts resulting in a slow and unpleasant death.
As with other poisoning cases, other animals within the locality are also likely to be affected.
Human consumption may result in harm as most slug pellets contain Metaldehyde. Within a few hours of accidental or intentional ingestion, symptoms appearing in humans include severe abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, and fever.

Please report anything suspicious to the police.
