December Update from PCSO Fox
You Said
You wanted us to focus on cutting down house burglaries and thefts from motor vehicles around the Curzon and Westminster Park area.
We did
In December Local Overleigh Officers carried out a plain clothes operation around the area. The officers worked through the night carrying out checks on houses and vehicles to make sure houses and vehicles were secure. The Officers found a high number of vehicles were left insecure with valuables inside. After finding the cars insecure Officers would open the doors of the vehicle identify valuables and knock on the door of residents. When residents answered the door they would demonstrate to them how easy it was for a burglar to enter their vehicles and take valuable assets. Officers would then highlight the important part they had to play if they wanted to avoid becoming the victim of crime.
