Trading Standards and Cheshire Police would like to alert the public following an incident that took place recently in the car park of a DIY store.
A customer visiting the store was approached by a male selling what was described as Nintendo Wii games consoles from his vehicle. The man was in his late 40s early 50s and was driving a fairly new white van. Although he did not get out of his vehicle as he leant forward, printed lettering on the back of his jacket became visible.
After agreeing to buy two games, 160 pounds in cash was handed over but unfortunately after closer inspection the boxes only contained Wiii 3 TV Entertainment Systems which can be bought for approximately 30 pounds.
Please be cautious if you are approached in this way. If you have been approached in such a way or have any information relating to this incident please contact Cheshire Police on 0845 458 0000
Best wishes
